Working in partnership with one of Melbourne's leading NFP's situated in the cities South Eastern corridor, this newly established Community Centre offers a warm and welcoming environment for consumers including local businesses and community groups to hire meeting and consulting rooms.
Entering a period of growth, they are seeking a part-time Customer Service Officer to manage ground floor reception plus take ownership of the consulting and meeting rooms of the Centre. Sharing the role and managing the Afternoon Shift , the core focus of this position will be to promote the Centre's room hire options, handle all enquiries and maintain meeting rooms accordingly. This could include set up and pack down of rooms and preparation of any additional resources, working closely with the consumers to deliver on their unique requirements. In addition to this, the Customer Service Officer will also play a vital role in promoting the accessibility of the broad range of services that the Centre delivers to the community.
Key selection criteria:
Previous experience working in a community or conference type centre and dealing with room hire (highly desired) Demonstrated experience in customer service/office administration with strong formatting and document preparation skills Ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders Previous experience processing payments and invoicing Highly developed skill and knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel Ability to appropriately respond to people experiencing difficulty in a non-judgmental manner Effectively redirect potential crisis calls or persons to relevant worker Attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality Ability to work autonomously and cooperatively in a team, willing to accept and share responsibility with others to ensure the smooth operation of the reception area Sound time management, problem solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks is essential Current Victorian Driver's Licence Willing to undertake a Police Check and Working with Children Check Willing to undertake and maintain Level 2 First Aid This is a truly rewarding opportunity for an engaging, passionate and highly skilled customer service professional who can demonstrate empathy in their work.
