This is an exciting opportunity working for a large Melbourne based, national company and a chance to use your Splunk experience.
Roles and Responsibilities: You will be responsible for development, implementation and stable operation of the Event management systems to support delivery of business services by other IT functions. Implement upgrades, patch's and new products Follow the procedures for reporting on-boarding activities and taking actions to deal with the exceptions, problems and unforeseen events in a timely manner Planning and integration of business data (business intelligence / data points) and on-boarding new event sources, including project advisory services for addressing logging, monitoring and alerting. Provides advisory services to the business on what business processes, core business service events and traditional logs need to be analysed and collected as per the agreed risk/security management plan pertaining to monitoring of, and response to, current security standards. Technical and Professional Qualifications/Skills Required Demonstrated experience inperformance monitoring technologies (2+ years) with Splunk and/or Arcsight experience required. Programming language experience, specifically Shell Script. Experience in an event management or operations environment in other organisations.
