In 2017 is expanding its Therapeutic Strength Based Care (TSBC) program in the Limestone Coast, providing exciting opportunities for dedicated people to join the team.

About you:

You have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people and are eager to learn the latest techniques in therapeutic care.
You already hold a relevant Certificate 4 level qualification or above;

You are keen to enter the sector, have aptitude and commitment and are willing to undertake a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care stream).
You are available to work a minimum of three shifts per week. is offering:

multiple casual positions vehicles provided for transporting clients
Mt Gambier location
training to work within a therapeutic model of care which incorporates Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and trauma-informed, intentional, client-centred practice.
ongoing training in regular practice forums with a clinical psychologist where you will learn new techniques to therapeutically respond to individuals with complex needs.
ongoing coaching and mentoring from your line manager and other experienced staff
staff numbers per shift based on individual assessment of client needs (usually 2 staff/4 clients)
What will I do as a Therapeutic Support Worker?

You will work as part of a team providing quality around the clock care in a home-based environment to children and young people who have been placed under the Guardianship of the Minister, building healthy, supportive relationships, and role-modelling appropriate behaviours.

The following conditions also apply:

Over 21 years of age
Have a right to live and work in Australia
Have a current Driver's License with full provisions and willingness to drive in the course of the role
Basic computer literacy
Willing to work a 24/7 roster with day, afternoon and night shifts that may also include some passive night shifts
Willing to maintain a Child Related Employment Screening, Child Safe Environment Certificate and a Provide First Aid Certificate (at's expense)
