The Company
Over the last two decades this developer has successfully delivered land sub division and managed numerous residential apartment projects as well as land and house packages. The business is looking to continue its expansion and is developing their construction division and they are now looking to appoint a construction manager to lead all activities in the delivery of projects. The company boast great staff retention as well as a unique company culture and are seeking the right individual not only for the role but for the business.
The Role:
This position will entail working directly with the General Manager to ensure all projects are running as efficiently and effective as possible.
In order for this to happen you will be responsible for all aspects of each project as well as internal business strategies and processes that are in place to ensure the company is working to its maximum potential. In addition the Construction Manager will oversee administration of head contract and sub-contractors and manage budgets including cash flow and cost controls. You will also be responsible for overseeing tender and contract documents and ensuring all WH+S within the business is adhered to correctly.
The company require an individual that can immediately come into the business and have a positive effect on both business and culture. This means the right person for the role will have 10+ years' experience within the industry at a managerial level, the company are open to a Project Manager looking to take the next step in their career or an already established Construction Manager.
Projects include -
82 units, 11 Storey building - Bankstown
2 land sub divisions - one of 80 blocks, and the other 120 blocks
Numerous Land and house packages
$500M Mixed Use High Rise Development
In this role you will:
Manage subcontract packages, scopes & lettings, procurement schedules and assist with head contract, progress claims, delay claims & external variations
Be proficient in all contractual matters and have the ability to communicate this knowledge in a practical and meaningful way to the project team
Provide outstanding client service and utilise your expert communication and negotiation skills to foster the client relationship
Manage project expenditure, reviewing and processing all subcontractor claims and creditor invoices
Ensure safety and quality compliance on all projects
Train, mentor and coach contracts administrators and other staff in administration duties and systems
Possess excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
Minimum 10 years' experience where you have negotiated and let contracts across a range of trades
